2018 Physician's Forum

The 2018 Physician's Forum has been split into morning and afternoon sessions. This forum will take place on Friday, November 9.

Morning Session

The morning session is open to ALL EMS conference attendees. 

When is dead dead?  Exploration of current evidence based practice on cardiac and trauma arrest resuscitation with topic presentation by leading Colorado EMS physician experts including Dr. Kevin McVaney, Dr. Gene Eby, Dr. Stein Bronsky, Dr. Diana Koelliker, Dr. Lara Rappaport and Dr. Jeff Beckman, Dr Kevin Weber.

Morning Agenda

Each session will be followed by 10 min for Q & A with the presenters
10:15 - Introduction 
10:20 to 10:30 - High Performance CPR 
10:40 to 10:50 - Epi or no Epi in cardiac arrest
11:00 to 11:10 - TOR of non shockable rhythms
11:20 to 11:30 - TOR of shockable rhythms
11:40 to 11:50 - Pediatric arrest - "Should I Stay or Should I go now?"
12:00 to 12:10 - CPR in Trauma 
12:20 - Lunch

Afternoon Session

From 2:00pm to 5:00pm, a physician round table facilitated by Jeff Beckman will explore regional guidelines and protocol development for cardiac and trauma arrest resuscitation, timelines and criteria for termination of resuscitation, identifying regional best practices, and end with an open round table discussion on current local and regional issues in EMS.

Application will be made to certify this activity for CME credit for physicians
