EMS Educators Symposium Call for Speakers

Do you have a topic and presentation that you think would be a great fit for Colorado’s EMS Educators?

Please take the time to submit a proposal to speak at the 1st Annual Colorado EMS Educators Symposium in 2021. Submissions will be reviewed and selected by the CEES Steering Committee to ensure a successful inaugural conference. Before proceeding please review the list of requirements and questions that you will be asked for throughout the submission process:
• Presenter Information including bio
• Experience teaching educators and with EMS
• Co-presenter Information including headshot and bio
• Type of presentation :

Simulation Lab: These sessions run from 2-4 hours, they are interactive and hands-on, and will make use of the SimLab provided by PPCC.

General Session: These sessions intended for all attendees and are two hours long, the committee is looking for presentations to capture the audience with inspiration and education. Please include links to videos of you presenting or to your website if you have any, so that we may give you full consideration for opening sessions!

Breakout Session: Breakout sessions range from one hour to an hour and a half and happen concurrently with other sessions at the same time. If your session is specific to a certain audience at the symposium, please specify the intended audience.
• Proposal Title
• Brief Proposal Description (300 words)
• Detailed Proposal Description (1500 Characters)
• Target Audience – i.e.: Administrators, Instructors or Training Officers
• Specialty Area or Curriculum, such as:
– Developing Case Review Presentations
– Strategies for effective distance learning
– Developing psychomotor skills
- Cultivating student engagement
- Developing leadership and professionalism
• Time Required to present topic
• 3 Learning Objectives: Objectives will be a maximum of 2 sentences and need to be measurable. Objectives need to describe intended results, outcomes, and changes.

• AV Requirements: EMSAC will provide a computer, clicker, projector, screen, computer audio and microphone. Any additional requests will be reviewed by the committee.
• Preparedness to televise your presentation or record and edit for CEMSEA distribution.
