Who Is Eligible?

CREATE is available to organizations whose primary purpose is providing EMTS provisions in Colorado, including:

  • Fire departments
  • EMS transport agencies
  • Hospitals
  • Search and rescue organizations
  • ...and others.

How the Application Process Works

CREATE runs on a monthly application cycle, and each application cycle has accepted Course Start Dates associated with that deadline. Results are sent out in the same month as the application is submitted.

Good news:  Early Bird conference registration is allowed for organizations that will attend the EMSAC Conference, regardless of CREATE funding results.

Upcoming CREATE application deadlines for the EMSAC conference:

  • August 3, 2026
  • September 1, 2026
  • October 5, 2026

The general match for CREATE applications is 50%. Organizations seeking a higher reimbursement percentage should review the Financial Waiver guidelines.
