Please note the following:
- Scholarships are paid to the training institution, but only after EMSAC receives notice of acceptance into the course.
- Scholarships to the Colorado State EMS Conference are paid directly to the attendee.
- The scholarship cycle (other than for the Colorado State EMS conference) is September 1 through August 31 of the next year. This is the period in which funds must be spent by the recipient (as long as payment is made to the training site prior to August 31, the money may be used for a class that begins after the August 31 deadline).
- An emergency fund is available for extreme situations, e.g., a rural EMS agency looses one of its three EMTs and must quickly send a new volunteer to an initial class, but neither can afford to do so.
- All applications must be received by EMSAC by the first Friday of September of each year (September 4, 2009).
