"EMS Executive Development"
Designed as the third component of the EMS Leadership Academy, this course is designed to provide mid-level managers information and insight to achieve success at the top level of EMS organizations as members of its senior management team.
It is focused on strategic thinking and setting organization culture and ethics. It shifts the focus on lessons learned in the previous classes, from recognition and implementation to setting organizational values, beliefs, and direction. It includes:
- Emotional Intelligence
- Ethics and Integrity

Defining Vision, Culture and Organizational Beliefs
- Organizational Communications
- Relationship Management, Internal and External
- Strategic Management: Strategic Planning and Integration into the Community

Political Awareness
Audience
The course is designed to assist EMS organizations in developing an effective mid-level management team capable of accepting and functioning in operational levels of EMS administration. Jurisdictions are encouraged to send personnel from EMS organizationsl throughout jurisdiction and surrounding areas that have completed the Basic Supervisory Practices Course* offered by the EMS Leadership Academy.
*Completion of this course is suggested, not a prerequisite.
