How does EMSAC's scholarship program work?
• Scholarships to the Colorado State EMS Conference are paid directly to
the attendee. EMT course scholarships are paid to the training
institution, but only after EMSAC receives notice of acceptance into the
course.
• The 2010-2011 scholarship cycle (for classes other than the Colorado
State EMS conference) is September 1, 2010 through August 31, 2011. This
is the period in which funds must be spent by the recipient (as long as
payment is made to the training site prior to August 31, 2011, the money
may be used for a class that begins after the August 31, 2011, deadline).
• An emergency fund is available in extreme situations, such as a rural
EMS agency loosing one of its four EMTs and must quickly send a new
volunteer to an initial class, but neither can afford to do so.
• Applications must be received by EMSAC by the first Friday of
September of each year.
2009-2010 Scholarships
• EMT-Basic initial training for rural EMS, $750, 1 available.
• EMT-Intermediate initial training for rural EMS, $1150, 1 available.
• EMT-Paramedic initial training for rural EMS, $1650, 1 available.
• Colorado State EMS Conference (tuition, travel, room and board), $600:

Coming soon: EMSAC CE Calendar
The Emergency Medical Services Association of Colorado was founded to provide continuing education to meet the state required needs of EMTs. True to our history, we continue today. We co-produce the Colorado State EMS Conference, which incorporates the state's oldest annual EMS training conference: the EMSAC Conference and Annual Meeting. Drawing members and nonmembers alike, it is the greatest value in EMS conferences in Colorado.
As the needs of Colorado EMS providers evolve, so do we. EMSAC works with local EMS agencies and regional EMS councils to bring to them outstanding emergency medical continuing education -- seminars and courses difficult to do on a local scale. We sponsor or cosponsor specialty educational events with hospitals, allied associations and other EMS educators.
